Call for Nomination: IEEE ComSoc Director for AP Region 2018-2019

The ComSoc Region 10 Nomination Committee is soliciting nominations of Asia Pacific Region members to serve as the new Asia Pacific Region Director in 2018-2019. Any ComSoc Region 10 member may submit a nomination. Self-nominations are also encouraged.

Nomination requires submission of a Biography, list of IEEE and IEEE ComSoc Activities, and Position Statement, for evaluation by the Nomination Committee. A nomination form is available at this link. The submission should be sent to Wanjiun Liao (Email: wjliao@ntu.edu.tw), immediate Past Director and Chair of the Nomination Committee, and Justine Chien (Email: justine.chien@gmail.com).

Nominations must be received by Sept 15, 2017.

Asian Fog Summit on 3 October 2016 in Tokyo, Japan

ComSoc, in cooperation with the OpenFog Consortium, is hosting the Asian Fog Summit on October 3, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan at Akihabara UDX. Join us at the Asian Fog Summit to discuss the technology and business of Fog Computing. This one-day event is designed to provide busy executives and researchers with an overview, introduction, and insight into the latest developments in Fog Computing.

Leading experts from Cisco, Intel, Fujitsu, METI, Microsoft, SAKURA Internet, and NCTU discuss the necessary architecture to enable IoT, security approaches, and deployments, how fog computing drives innovation and helps monetize IoT.
